Fans reacted with excitement to a new promotional trailer for Sword Art Online II, which features voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro.
“I cannot wait for the summer season,” an anonymous poster commented, “So many awesome shows to be disappointed by, but this one tops them all!”
After the wildly successful and popular first season, fan expectations are high for the sequel.
“I lasted five episodes into Sword Art Online, but I might even drop the second season after only three or four episodes,” another commentor replied.
Crunchyroll has confirmed that they will simulcast the anime this summer, providing their premium members the ability to drop the show at the same time it airs in Japan. Crunchyroll subscribers without premium accounts can drop Sword Art Online II one week after each episode airs.
Anime streaming has come a long way. For the first couple of weeks this summer, fans in Japan and around the world will be watching Sword Art Online II together, at the same time, and dropping the show in unison. It’s a beautiful thing.
Meanwhile, fans have also shown excitement for another season of Hitsugi no Chaika to drop.
