Report: President Obama Still Undecided About Anime Avatar

WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to reports from White House staff, President Barack Obama has not yet chosen which anime avatar he will use on his new Twitter account. Though Commander-in-Chief registered his personal Twitter account earlier this week, he has yet to put the requisite touch of an anime avatar on his Twitter account.

The report claims that Obama has been browsing Danbooru and Pixiv for hours and has narrowed his choices down to about a dozen images. Kuroneko from OreImo, Tenshi from Angel Beats, Akemi Homura from Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, and Kongou from Kantai Collection are among the characters on the shortlist, though White House insiders suggest that the Commander-in-Chief is leaning towards a neatly cropped image of Yazawa Nico from Love Live.

Political commentator Bill O’Reilly noted on his Fox News program yesterday that the President’s intention to use an anime avatar “further solidifies the threat he poses to America.”

“The President’s choice will once again prove that he has shit taste. Honoka 4 life,” O’Reilly quipped.

Despite repeated calls, the White House refused to comment on Michelle Obama’s new anime avatar, a portrait of Matsuoka Rin from Free!.
