Yowamushi Pedal Implicated in Doping Charges

MONTREAL, Canada — The World Anti-Doping Agency announced yesterday that shounen sports anime Yowamushi Pedal has tested positive for performance enhancing drugs. In a test administered shortly after the airing of its 32nd episode, the producers of the anime tested positive dramatalol, a drug that enhances the ability for writers to create drama.

Officials have cited many instances that led to their suspicion of Yowamushi Pedal, including one scene where a character reportedly “becomes muscle itself.”

TMS Entertainment is vigorously denying the allegations. A comment released by the embattled animation studio claimed that someone “snuck the drug into the office coffee pot.”

The World Anti-Doping Agency moved to strip Yowamushi Pedal of all accolades and honors, before realizing that the anime had none.
